I've spent just over 1k crests this campaign (started at 2k and just under 1k now) and I have 1 stack of hmp and 6 pouches.

With one character? Or several? Because that is crazy. Either I'm super unlucky, or the game loves you guys.
Edit: Doing the math on this. If you used 1k crests on one character, that is 50 fights, and you can only ever get 1 single plate per fight (not guaranteed), so I can't see how you got over a stack with that many fights. You must have done way more than 100 fights to get that many singles. Unless you popped some pouches, or already had close to a stack before starting.
Edit2: And as I say this I get two HM pouches in 3 fights. Go figure, lol.
It was with a single character with one character sitting on the outside (doesn't even enter) for the rems to loot. I may have popped a pouch or had some previous I was just checking what I had on character since he hasn't done anything hmp related in a long time.

Man... Heavy Metal Pouch is a 5% drop rate. They are supposed to be rare, otherwise there would be no challenge. Uptala is worse unless you can kill it faster than Aello. Getting Heavy Metals from this content is about three things:
1) Kill faster.
2) Get lucky.
3) Have patience.
We don't need a million screenshots of your drops. Most of us have done Voidwatch to death and know exactly what it's like. There are good days and bad days with it. Stop hoping for a thousand pouches per day and accept that this is a grind. With 5800 stones you should get a good amount of Heavy Metals.

Rarely is doing the content that drops the stuff directly the best way to do it, if its something you can buy anyway.

The real question is when this troll types the prompts into his AI, is he asking for the dumbest possible response, the one that will annoy FFXI players the most, or what other criteria could he be putting in? There's a lot of back and forth, it's hard to be sure.
I stopped engaging when he created a second thread. There is no chance he is going to learn or internalize anything you tell him.

He picked Nyame Path C. This was the modern "ffxiah plays ffxi" via Materdark and we ended up with Path C. We failed him.

I explicitly explained to you several times that all capping blue does is add two extra junk slots but you clearly refuse to read, process, and comprehend what anyone else says to you and just do whatever the hell you convince yourself is right so I don't know why anyone responds to you anymore, myself included. Every post made reflects poorly on the poster, myself included.

You need 3 drop slots to get Metal/Cinder. You start with 150% so adding colbalt allows you to zerg the mob and get 3 drop slots without any procs. This helps with efficiency.

During campaign you get 4 slots by default. I haven't traded any cells at all while spamming Uptala on 3 characters and all of them always got 4 drops, including dozens of HMP.

You was just lucky. Many of us older players have been doing Voidwatch for years, including soloing it like you are. You have good days and bad days. Best thing to do is just keep farming and never hope for anything. That way you won't feel (majorly) disappointed when you have a bad day.

maybe i was crafting while fighting lol no one said you had to love me :P
one way to speed this up is if you have 17 mule and have access to this and have ***loads of stones.
