Franck Ribery involved in altercation with journalist after Bayern Munich defeat to Borussia Dortmund
Bayern Munich winger is alleged to have become physical after being blamed for two goals in 3-2 loss
Franck Ribery was involved in an altercation with a journalist following Bayern Munich's 3-2 defeat against Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.
It is believed Ribery took offence to commentator Patrick Guillou blaming him for two of the three goals during a post-match interview.
Eyewitnesses claim the former France international then became physical with Guillou, as Bayern issued a brief statement to say the matter will be dealt with internally.
“Franck Ribery has informed us that he had an altercation with his compatriot Patrick Guillou, whom he has known well for many years," sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said
“We agreed with Patrick Guillou that we would speak at a personal meeting, we will talk about how we can solve the matter, and Mr Guillou has already signalled that it is in his interest.”
Two Robert Lewandowski goals twice gave Bayern the lead, but Dortmund hit back through a Marco Reus brace before Paco Alcacer netted the winner.
