A clone of the popular and variable Neoregelia carcharodon, which includes the familiar ‘Tiger’. This clone is not as colorful as some, pretty much lacking any markings on the leaves, with uniform bronzy-green coloration. The leaf tips are dark blackish brown, surrounded with red. A faint red wash will cover the leaves in strong light. The most outstanding feature is the marginal spines which are very long, stout and black in color. It is a most dramatic looking plant.
