I love the image of the vermilion container ship with the vermilion containers. On the whole these photos are remarkable and show how this amazing colour is so lively other colours in its vicinity appear neutral. Years ago I got a set of Chinese watercolours from Chinatown and there was a tube of vermilion I husbanded carefully because it was so beautiful a colour – almost emblematic. The STX pan ocean photo shows a wonderful range of this colour orange – very rich! G
