American journalist and novelist Alice Rogers Hager is began her writing career as an aviation reporter and was later appointed notable positions as the Public Affairs Officer for the United States Embassy in Brussels (1948-1952) and Foreign Affairs officer for the Department of State (1952-1953). In addition, Hager published several award-winning books including Wings of the Dragon: The Air War in Asia (1945), Washington, City of Destiny (1948), and Dateline: Paris (1954). Hager became a close personal friend of the "First Lady of the Air", Amelia Earhart through her work in aviation reporting and the two carried on a life-long correspondence. Seller Inventory # 61792
