錫隘隧道貫通後,苗26儼然成為連結苗栗市與獅潭鄉重要橫貫公路,在26-2終點交界處至獅潭鄉台三線的苗26終點,至少有雙線道之寬,地形之故,西向東的坡度較緩,反方向的坡度較陡,苗22與苗12等東西向聯絡道路均有此特色,注意此處高度曲線圖未考慮穿越錫隘隧道對高度起伏的影響,實際最高處僅約400m
