Amphicar, an amphibious car made in Germany in the 1960s which is now owned by a Canton woman and her sister. The car is now at D&J Care Care Center on Main Street in Manchester where shop owner Dave Icaza is fixing the motor.

Karl Schwab drives his 1967 Amphicar 770 on Lake St. Clair near Detroit, Mich. The combination car/boat reaches 75 mph on land and 7-8 knots on water. The German company manufactured 3,300 of the amphibious vehicles from 1960 to 1967, and an estimated 400 remain on the road or water worldwide.
