Ellen Page is to direct her first movie.

The Inception actress will take the director's chair for the first time on Miss Stevens, reports Deadline.

Anna Faris (The Dictator, I Give It a Year) will star in Miss Stevens as a teacher who rediscovers herself when she takes a class of high school students to a state drama competition.

Julia Hart (The Keeping Room) has written the script for the Anonymous Content and Gilbert Films production.

Page's forthcoming acting projects include Touchy Feely, The East and Into the Forest.

She was also recently confirmed for X-Men: Days of Future Past by director Bryan Singer.
