The Eiffel Tower in Paris is already spectacular on its own. The fact that there is a second one next to it these days is something unique and, in fact, it is a temporary thing.

Many visitors are taking advantage of these days to visit the French capital and take a closer look at the smaller replica that the city of Paris has placed on the Champs de Mars to accompany one of the greatest symbols of modern society. Named 'Eiffela', it is a construction of no less than 33 meters high and weighing 32 tons.

"Don't worry, you are looking good," wrote the Parisian Consistory last Saturday, the day on which the second tower was placed next to the original one which is 330 meters high and weighs 10,100 tons.

Given that April 1 was April Fool's Day in several countries, including France, many took the post as a joke. Although they realised that it was real, La tour Eiffel's official Twitter account did prank social media users with another post showing a slide around the famous attraction.

"You're not ready for this! The tallest slide in the world will be installed on my summit from July 1st!," the post read.

The Eiffel Tower was inaugurated 134 years ago, which is why the replica is on display. It will be there until April 10, when it will be removed, as reported by the French newspaper Le Parisien.
