My first project for the GB here was to draw a mix of P-51 Mustang and XF85 Goblin, meaning: as short and barrel shaped as a Goblin, but with fin and canopies (D, B) clearly coming from the P-51 family, painting it orange as USAAF prototype.
But I was not sure, did I ever draw something like that in the past? I checked and... yes, in 2019 (without orange colour), I change the colour here today :

So my project will be different: a slanting view not a profile, and not turning the P-51 to a jet like XF-85, but turning the XF-85 into a piston machine with straight wings (P-85 just after the P-82?), with of course P-85Z zwilling, and bringing the P-51 towards this shape, both in D and B versions (+zwilling twins). This is complicated, but I plan to do it for this long GB (much more than one week this time).

Thanks! (and congratulations for the Me-334 mix! )
I am ready now starting to draw, coming back from holidays. I will use as basis a XF-85 3-view from aviationsmilitaires.net that Google found (but the Google link does not find it anymore, just a page with a photograph).

I had already the drawing of P-51 and the biggest addition was drawing the XF-85 basis before transformation. This is done now (adding a F-85Z zwilling for additional smile):

Would that have needed a B-36Z to carry it?  ;) ;) ;D ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes, a B-36Z could be fun! Ted Nomura drew one in Luftwaffe1946 comics and a preliminary Consolidated version was included in my free e-book "Supplement to Forked Ghosts".

Now here is the P-85 pusher step imagined by Dizzyfugu (thanks again!):

Then I will draw the tractor version of mine, with a push-pull missing link, and at the end I will make intermediates with straight winged P-51 (D and B).

Here are the final P-51P-85s: <_<

Other complementary versions are possible, like asymmetric single-seater or bubble starboard faired port...

Thanks!
Other versions were cancelled even before reaching the prototype step: <_<
