Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Toronto Raptors rookie Scottie Barnes has reportedly signed a multiyear shoe and apparel endorsement contract with Nike, according to Nick DePaula of ESPN.

Barnes joins fellow first-round picks Cade Cunningham, Jonathan Kuminga and Chris Duarte to sign with Nike this year. They join a star-studded roster of athletes, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Paul George.

The fourth pick just wrapped up a strong showing with the Raptors in the Las Vegas Summer League. He averaged 15.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, two blocked shots and one steal in four appearances, shooting 41.2% from the field.

The crop of Nike rookie players this year are expected to help Nike usher in their new “Greater Than” series, wearing player-exclusive models like the GT Cut, GT Run and GT Jump on the court. It is estimated 68% of NBA players wear Nike on the court.
