Abstract

The audio signal output system according to the present invention comprises: an amplifier for synthesizing an address signal of an output terminal with an output signal outputted from the output terminal, and then converting the synthesized audio signal into a PWM signal prior to transmission; and an audio output unit for extracting the address signal from the PWM audio signal transmitted from the amplifier for making a decision on whether the PWM audio signal should be outputted, and then outputting the audio signal based on the output decision. The audio output unit comprises: a signal receiver for receiving the PWM audio signal transmitted from the amplifier; a switch for switching output of the received PWM audio signal; a power supply for smoothing the received PWM audio signal for use as power for the audio output unit; an output controller for detecting the address signal from the received PWM audio signal to control the ON or OFF state of the switch; and a speaker for outputting an audio signal provided through the switch. Accordingly, audio signals can be selectively outputted to a plurality of output units using a single amplifier, and a minimal number of wires of an audio line between the amplifier and the output unit can be used.
